Creating a better Action

Creating a better action starts with several measurements. By gathering the proper data we can create an action that is smooth and easy to play. Using new parts from several different providers gives us the ability to customize each action so that it may reach it’s full potential.

After gathering our initial measurements, the wippens and shanks will be removed leaving the bare metal action frame. The frame is cleaned and polished to create clean surfaces for the new action parts.

Wippens- Wippens are the mechanism that transfers the motion of your finger hitting the key to shank and hammer.

Shanks- The shank sits above the wippen. The Hammer is hung on the end of the shank.
